Safe to use a gas grill in an enclosed space?

We have a BBQ planned, and it’s been rainy today, so I’m thinking we could just have the grill in the gazebo, but it’s mainly enclosed.

A few people have said if we have the door to it open, it should be fine.

Just looking for more opinions, none of us are experts and Google’s not really helping me here =o/

The gazebo is obviously outside, so with the door open, we’d have a pretty fair bit of circulation if that makes any difference!

Hoping this is a decent category choice =o/
Ok, I think we should be safe then, it has glass windows, but they’re the same as home windows, they open and there’s a screen.

I should’ve mentioned that.

The windows are a few feet sq. each, so if we have those open + the door, we should be good to go.

Thanks for the answers! =o)

is it screened in, or walled in. if its screened it, then yes. if its walled in, then NO.

If it’s not attached to the house and threre’s ventilation a person would probably be ok cooking in a pinch. But I would not gather a huge number of folks in there nor would I eat in there with the gas grill going. Any type of gas burning appliance emits Carbon Monoxide which is odorless and colorless and deadly after a prolonged exposure.

    Yea what Amy said lol
If it’s screened in and you keep the door open, then it should be fine
But if it’s walled in with no screens what so ever
then it wouldn’t be a good idea at all
So if your gazeebo has screens and you keep the door and screens opened then it should be fine…

But I repeat if you gazeebo has no screens then don’t do it in the gazeebo…
